Hey so here’s what happened on my day in San Francisco with faucet, who is incredibly friendly and charming:

  1. Met up with him and some of his friends from LA and wandered around the Castro. Found some particularly classy stores.
  2. Purchased wine, consumed wine in a park with really nice views. In the park we were solicited by really avid canvassers for ballot initiatives. I’m so impressed by the whole notion of ballot initiatives; here we’ve only ever had one succeed and it was just to lower the sales tax by two percentage points, while in California they’re used all the time for full-on social engineering. On the downside I’m pretty sure they’re why the state comes thisclose to default every time there’s a cash crunch.
  3. Other things happened. Drinks are very very cheap and very very strong in the Castro on a Monday. That last picture was taken at 2:30 am according to my phone.
